Finally I don't feel whiney about a run! It was actually a great one! Here's why: Originally I had decided to kind of blow off the time component and try to run for three miles (which would have been more than 28 minutes). Then I reconsidered, seeing as how in 25 minutes I was running a hair under 2 miles. So I decided to refuse to look at the clock until I had run a full two miles. Covered the clock, covered my speed, and just started going. When I finally did look at the clock I had been running for 22 minutes which was satisfying. I also ran a little faster than usual, also satisfying.
Pissed though because my hrm didn't work at all. I must have not had it on right somehow. At the height of my huffing and puffing it showed hr as 54. :) Ah well. So for stats I pulled what I could off the treadmill. So my calories burned are low - treadmill is usually about 25 calories less than hrm.
Duration: 39:00
Distance: 2.79
Calories: 256
I didn't hate it! Running is funny. I look forward to runs, I feel fantastic after runs, but I am usually just miserable during them. But not today.

i am glad that you had a good run and that you finally don't feel whiney. i wish you weren't three weeks ahead of me.
if you decide to do the one hour runner after this will you wait for me to catch up?
I haven't even looked at the one hour runner, so I won't until you're ready to. I was thinking I would send you the running plans Chris writes for me too. I bet they would work for you also. The first one is very reasonable.
tell me how this running plan is working for you. so you're doing c25k three days a week, and then are you doing the running team thing in the morning two mornings (on different days than c25k?) and then where does this running plan fit in?
I'll be able to combine them fine I think. I start the class on Monday. I do W8D2 on Saturday. I've got class on Monday and Tuesday is an "off day" so I'll do W8D3 on Wednesday, at the same time I'm doing my assignment which is "2 miles easy run". I'll be sure I run for a full 28 minutes even though it will be over 2 miles. Then I've only got 3 runs of C25K left and I'll keep doing the same thing - working them into the running class.
i just got your first two weeks. looks . . . kinda hard. so some of those days are the c25k days i imagine. you're doing alot of running.
how long is this program?? you may not even want to start OHR with your running group.
It's pretty similar to what I'm already doing - 2+ miles etc. 10 week program. We shall see...
